Indonesian Maid Falls to Her Death in Malaysia

An Indonesian maid died in Putrajaya, Malaysia, after she tried to climb down from the 12th floor of an apartment building using a rope made out of blankets.
Widyarka Ryananta, a senior official with the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, said the victim was a woman in her 30s named Nurditi.
"Nurditi had worked for two months at her current employer. It is alleged that she was trying to escape from her employer," Widyarka said, adding that the embassy was still trying to find more information on Nurditi.
Putrajaya Police Chief Abdul Razak said Nurditi's employer was not home when the incident occurred on Sunday.
"Residents found the victim lying face down in a back alley near a kindergarten at around 7:30 a.m. today. A bag of clothing was also found nearby," Abdul said, as quoted by Malaysian state news agency Bernama.
A witness told the police that she heard a loud sound but did not suspect that anything was wrong until Nurditi's body was found at the bottom of the 14-story apartment building.
According to Abdul, police did not suspect foul play and classified the case as an accidental death.
The body was sent to the Putrajaya Hospital for autopsy.
